HIPAA Statement

Benefit Management Services is committed to full compliance with HIPAA regulations. We are establishing policies and procedures to implement all aspects of the regulations that impact our services and plan to have these operational prior to the deadlines. We are making system enhancements to meet the standards for electronic data interchange and for privacy of individual health information. We have also created new contract language for provider and client contracts to ensure compliance by those with whom we conduct business. As new Final Rules for HIPAA implementation are issued or changes made in the established regulations, Benefit Management Services will be prepared to remain fully compliant.

Provider Search and Personal Directory Disclaimer

The provider search and personal directory contain all providers who are members of Benefit Management Services network. Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information; however, changes occur daily and may not yet be included in the directory.

The provider you select may not be available to all Benefit Management Services clients due to individual benefit plan or network restrictions. Please verify your benefits by calling your Health Plan Benefit Administrator or Insurance Company. In addition, you should always confirm with the provider’s office that they are still participating in the network.

Precertification Disclaimer

Benefit Management Services determination regarding the medical appropriateness of an admission, procedure or continued stay, whether approval or deferral, is based on the information received and does not guarantee payment of benefits. Benefits are also subject to eligibility and coverage restrictions at the time services are rendered, which must be verified by the Employer/Policyholder or Payor. Patient care remains the responsibility of the attending physician, notwithstanding any recommendation or position taken by Benefit Management Services.
